Due to the removal of the Optus Tower, by Optus, at Sanctuary Cove, both Optus and Vodafone customers have regrettably experienced interruptions to their service and connections.
Optus had earlier communicated plans to have a temporary tower in place before the removal of the existing one. However, this has not been the case.
Mulpha is currently working with Optus to confirm a suitable area for the new tower to be erected. There are several spaces currently under review. In consideration of this Optus advises that the new tower will be constructed and operational with services restored within 6-8 weeks.
Clear and proactive communication is of utmost importance to us. Unfortunately, the actions taken by Optus, which were not communicated to Mulpha, have led to this inconvenience. We apologise for the unforeseen service gap and are dedicated to ensuring such coordination lapses do not occur in the future.
We deeply value the understanding and patience of our community during this period.
The construction of the temporary tower will be started mid October, two weeks away, with completion or works and fully operational by mid November.
There will be Optus techs around the next few days to do surveys and inspections of power and traversing the IGA and car park to the temporary site.
