Thank you to everyone who contributed to the wonderful turnout at Mulpha’s community lecture series with property market experts Matt Gates, Tim Spencer and David Wilcox and Mulpha Development Director Barry Teeling.
For those who were unable to attend, Berry Teeling breaks down some of the discussions regarding the future of Sanctuary Cove.
“The night was a great success,” Barry says. “It’s wonderful to see the lines of meaningful communication between Mulpha and the residents of Sanctuary Cove opening more and more.
“There was a great deal of interest in the development of Lot 52 of Golf Course. At the moment the team is working on the conceptual designs to understand exactly what this site can be, and ensure we make the most of the opportunity. The team will have more site visits over the coming months to fully understand the space and the market. While we are still in the very early concept stages, we have been looking at a variety of features including spaces designed for children and community style gardens.
“In order to create long-term sustainability for Sanctuary Cove we need to create housing opportunities that appeal to a broad market and offer something for residents at every stage of their life. From young professionals, to families, to more mature residents who are looking to downsize, we want to create a Sanctuary Cove that has something for every stage of life – all with the same high quality and community ethos we apply to everything in Sanctuary Cove.
“Health and wellness are a huge focus for Mulpha, as it is for Sanctuary Cove residents. There has been some concern – and this was voiced again at the community event – that Mulpha plans to knock down the Recreation Club and build apartments. As I stated very clearly at the event, Mulpha is committed to investing in the in the Rec Club; to improving and investing in the facilities and offering a broad cross section of health, wellness, recovery and beauty services.
“A lot of discussion also focused around Mulpha’s long term plans, and how we intend on communicating those plans with residents.
“Mulpha has a strong vision, and plans for the future. These plans are evolving and can be dictated by a host of factors such as community feedback, the economy and the commercial realities of projects.
“We have made a commitment to communicate more regularly with residents, but we need people to sign up to yoursanctuarycove.com to receive these updates. If you can, please join us at our Community Events but yoursanctuarycove.com is the main portal where we can keep the community updated.”
